The Contender
Episode 14 - 05.22.05
Mora vs Brinkley
I can't say much about this episode since I wasn't there, except for the fight. What I can tell you is that I woke up the next day like a new man. Even though my face was swollen, I was happy and excited because they invited me back to see the fight between Sergio and Jesse. When I got there Peter said, "hey bro, if we eva fight again, we gonna do it for a lotta money." It was nice to hear that because it tells me that Peter knows that fighting me could cost him another loss and if that happens at least he wants his pocket to be full. heheh While I waited for the fight to begin, I sat down in an office and looked at The War II, and I gotta tell you, when my fans see the whole fight, they're not gonna be happy! But we have to wait for the DVD release =)

The fight with Sergio was exciting. The rounds were close but Sergio edged them by a little bit. It seemed like Jesse was tired from his previous fight (he only had like 3 days to rest), or simply Sergio was too quick and too slick for him. At the end of the fight I went up to the ring and told Sergio that in my eyes he had won, but we still had to wait for the verdict. A few minutes later Peter and Sergio were the finalists, and Jesse and I were the semi-finalists.

It was a little sad to come back the next day and she the gym half empty and the loft completely gone. There were so many memories there and the best adventure that I've ever had. I met great people and began new friendships. Until now I don't regret anything that I did in The Contender. We still didn't know how big it was going to be or if it even was going to make it to the air. It was postponed so many times that we weren't sure if it was going to work. But finally all the hard work, all the time spend, all the tears shed, all the punches thrown, all the drama, all the comedy and everything that means The Contender was shown to the world on March 7th 2005. The rest, as they say, is barely the beginning.

Thank you everybody!
