The Contender
Episode 12 - 05.08.05
Brinkley vs Bonsante
First of all I want to apologize to everyone who comes here to read the recaps that I do. As you all know, I'll be fighting on the 24th and that has taken some of my time. However, here it is...hope you enjoy.

I'll start off by saying that since there are only 5 people in the house it was pretty boring. Everything is more quiet and less dramatic...hehehe Production actually allowed us to leave the loft so we could walk around and purchase things without the camera's following us. In a way I felt liberated, but I also missed the cameras following me. During one of my outings I bought a CD player and a CD by Marc Anthony. I looove the song "Ahora Quien", so when I bought the CD I made sure I got the Salsa version. During training I put my headphones on and began dancing. I love salsa music, specially during training because there is something in that music that pumps my blood and makes me want to move and dance and fight and be free.

We were very envious of Peter's reward (in a good way). None of us had seen any of the fights we had done during The Contender, and it was awesome that Peter got to see his. I wanted to see my fight versus Peter and Ahmed soooo bad, but Production said that it was Peter's reward. Oh well! I had been in pretty cool reward throughout the whole tournament so Peter deserved it. After Peter's reward, we all went out to dinner with Angelo Dundee. I had a $70 dollar Lobster. I had never had Lobster before, but Tommy Gallagher suggested it. It was expensive but it was soooo good.

After Peter's victory we only needed one last fighter to be in the final four. We were so excited to see who was going to join Peter, Sergio and I. Since Sergio was in Anthony's corner and Peter in Jesse's, I was all by myself in the crowd, and wore one of the shirts I bought at Rodeo Dr. I know it wasn't sunny but I still wore the shades because they were awesome. For a $300 pair of aviator glasses, I wore them night and day hehehe

We were all surprised that Anthony was beating Jesse. Even though Jesse told us after the fight that he felt he was winning because he had control of the pace of the fight, in my eyes he was losing. Jesse was throwing only one or two punch combos, while Anthony was throwing 5 punch combos all five rounds. The last round all Anthony had to do was run and still he would of won, but he went out there like a lion. I think Jesse was looking for that one punch the whole fight, and eventually it worked. After Anthony went down, Jesse walked to the neutral corner to wait for the 8 count. I told him, "Jesse, you don't gotta hurt him....he done." He turned to look at me and stuck his tongue out.(always a funny person hehehe) Many people argue whether the fight should of being stopped and I say "YES". Anthony was out so much, that he didn't even know the fight was stopped until 5 minutes after. He was sitting in his stool and asked "What happened" and Jeremy told him "The fight was stopped" that's when Anthony went got mad and started screaming. It was a nasty KO, but at the end of the night, we were all happy that no one got injured.

To Jesse: Welcome to the final 4, puetaaa!!

To Anthony: Like I've said before "you are a great father and some day I want to love my kids the way you love yours!"
